Who we are

This website (sanjaarizanov.com) is the personal professional blog and brand website of Sanja Arizanov, an IFRS specialist and founder of Riskure Academy. The site publishes educational blog content on financial reporting standards (IFRS) and serves as a point of contact for professional inquiries and a bridge to the Riskure Academy e-learning platform (riskureacademy.com).

What data do we collect and why

Contact and meeting request forms

When you submit a contact form or a meeting request form, we collect your first name, last name, and email address. This data is used solely to respond to your inquiry or to schedule a meeting. It will not be used for marketing purposes without your explicit prior consent.

Blog comments

If you leave a comment on the blog, we collect the data shown in the comment form, along with your IP address and browser user agent string, to help with spam detection. An anonymized string (hash) of your email address may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

We use only strictly necessary cookies for the site’s basic functionality. If you leave a comment on our site, you may opt in to saving your name and email address in cookies for your convenience — these cookies will last for one year. Login cookies (if applicable) last for 2 days or 2 weeks if you select “Remember Me”. We do not use marketing, advertising, or third-party analytics cookies without your consent.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g., videos). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor had visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for commercial purposes. Data may be forwarded solely to:

  • Automattic (Gravatar) — for displaying profile pictures next to comments
  • Automated spam detection services — for comment moderation
  • Email service provider — solely for the purpose of responding to your inquiries

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How long do we retain your data?

  • Contact and meeting request form data: retained for as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry, then deleted within 12 months.
  • Comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely so we can automatically recognize and approve any follow-up comments.
  • For users who register on our website (if any), we store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except for their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
  • Cookies last for the durations described above.

What rights do you have over your data

If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where your data is sent

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. Your data may be processed by third-party services (as listed above) operating outside your country of residence, in accordance with applicable data protection regulations.
